Human Name: Dr. Ivan Nikolayevich Braginski Sc.D.
Name of Country: The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
Age: 53
Date of Birth: December 30, 1957 *assuming this is 2010*
Qualifications: Doctorate of Science in Biochemistry
Personality
Dr. Braginski is... for lack of a better term, completely and utterly insane. He will seem perfectly sane when you first see him and talk to him. It quickly becomes apparent that he is rather sophisticated and highly intelligent. However, periodically, you will begin to notice that... everything is not quite right with him. Sometimes it leaks out as a strange word or phrase, or sometimes just an odd facial expression, posture or tone of voice.
Ivan enjoys messing with people's heads. It gives him something to do and does he every enjoy doing it. Also, he is a communist and will not hesitate to make snide remarks about the country he is currently in. He sometimes does this on purpose to be offensive. Do not respond to them or you will have fallen for his trap. He will call himself a Soviet and not Russian, for an entire list of reasons he will more than happily rattle off to you.
He is to be regarded as very dangerous, regardless of how docile and gentle he seems to be. Do not approach his confines. Do not accept anything he offers you. Do not give him anything vaguely pointed. He is not to be approached unless tranquilized and with a group of guards and only for the purpose of putting him into heavy restraints of some kind.
There are a lot of things that he knows from his days working with the former KGB as a scientist. He admittedly did work with the infamous reanimation experiments. He enjoys reminding the administration that he knows things their government would probably bend over to Stalin's ghost for... not that he ever releases those secrets but for some reason there seems to be hope that one day he'll loosen his tongue on the subject.
Furthermore, it should be very well noted that Dr. Braginski is incredibly sadistic and has not given up his taste for human flesh. This is part of what makes him so dangerous. If he starts talking about wondering how you would taste, how beautiful your blood or screams would be... it is time to walk away from the cell and return to the surface world.
Furthermore, he is likely to become very upset with you for bringing up the topic of having sexually abused his baby sister. One, he is offended by the very thought of it. Two, he does not remember having done it. Due to some experiments that went wrong, the incidents of abuse were wiped from his memory and he only remembers Natalia's strong affection for him.
Appearance
He's rather tall, standing at about six feet in height. The Doctor's hair is a kind of pale beige almost silvery color. The bright purple eyes stand out against the very white skin. He never got much sunlight in his youth. Being rather heavily built, he can be very intimidating to look at. He's not fat so much as having a lot of muscle wrapped around a large skeleton.
The most noticeable thing though is that he ligature marks around his neck as though he tried to hang himself... which he did many, many years before even entering the United States. These were normally covered up by a scarf he was known for constantly wearing. However, it was taken from him upon being incarcerated.
Something odd is readily apparent when you meet him though. He does not look his age at all. In fact he looks barely any older than thirty years old. If you ask him about it, he will only say there were many interesting experiments with his first employer... and he will leave it at that for you to speculate. It is unknown when or if his real age will catch up to him.

History:
Dr. Braginski was born in the Soviet Union, in a small village outside of Moscow to Nikolae Vladimirovich Braginski and Alayna Petrovna Braginskaya in 1957. He had one older sister who is very gentle, but she lived in Ukraine and possibly still does. He never met her and doesn't even know her name or what she looked/s like. He was a healthy kid and immediately pegged that he would grow up to be large person. During this period of time, he was a very loving affectionate child that enjoyed playing outside among the flowers.
Around the age of five, his father started drinking excessively and began to beat both him and his mother at regular intervals. At one point, in 1961, his mother died of injuries received in one particularly nasty beating. Ivan could only watch from the corner as he saw his mother bleed to death internally. Ivan... didn't like to play outside anymore. A bomb timer began counting down.
Later that same year, his father remarried. His new "mother" was a Belorussian woman named BLANK. It wasn't that she was mean or anything, but Ivan never really took to her. She didn't feel the same as his own mother. Besides, he didn't form bonds very well anymore now that his real mother was gone and his father continued to beat him on a regular basis. The beeps were coming faster and faster.
In 1962, his father's new wife gave birth to a little girl, his half-sister, Natalia. Ivan got next to no attention now that she was in his parents' lives. The only glimmers of acknowledgment were the occasional beatings he would still receive when his father drank. At least his little sister was safe as long as he received the worst of it all. The counter is at zero.
By the time he turned seventeen, something had changed in him completely. Ivan was no longer sweet and gentle like a child was expected to be. He was no longer the cute kid everyone thought he was growing up. Something dark, twisted and vengeful had taken over underneath that deceptively innocent smile.
It first started showing at seventeen when he stopped protecting Natalia from their father. Instead of just giving her flowers to cheer her up on those bad days, his hands strayed to touch elsewhere on her body in places no decent young man would even think about. These... activities... continued for a total of two years before he went away to college to begin his study of biochemistry (a fascination which developed early on by merely wondering why a sunflower does not grow in winter).
He pursued degrees in biochemistry up until receiving a doctorate at age 27, in 1984, before working for the KGB until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. A few of the experiments involved altering memory and few events were wiped from his mind, including the incidents of sexual abuse towards his sister. He would only remember her being oddly affectionate towards him during that time and nothing more about it. Also, some of these experiments seemed to have altered the way he aged, making him retain a mostly youthful appearance.
Ivan attempted suicide by hanging at age 34 just after the Soviet Union collapsed upon itself. As an intellectual, he had been mostly well taken care of by the state aside from the dangerous nature of the experiments he was involved in. This instilled a deep love of the country into the poor man's almost non-existent heart. When it fell apart, to him it was like watching a spouse die. The beeps were slow and steady...
He eventually decided to head to America after his failed suicide attempt and got a job teaching at a university at age 35. He taught biology and chemistry at various levels at the school to students who found it very amusing to sit and listen to his accent all day. However, even though the Cold War had ended, many still treated him rather rudely... not many though. The beeps were picking up in pace once more.
In 1997, at the age of forty, the bomb went off in his mind once more. This time though, the effects were far more devastating. Ivan began a criminal career that totaled twelve victims chosen at random: different causes of death and then various parts of their corpses were consumed.
He continued to teach both biology and chemistry up until age 48 when he was finally caught and convicted on twelve counts of murder and cannibalism. Many of his colleagues and students were surprised that kind Dr. Braginski had been accused of and even admitted to these horrendous murders. To them it was like discovering the nice old lady down the street was cooking up crystal meth.
Instead of receiving the death penalty as most people believed he deserved, he was given a life sentence to be served in a mental hospital under maximum security. He has remained in the basement of the mental hospital under heavy surveillance and restraint since. Ivan has joked that since his room was made of a Plexiglas wall among three solid brick ones, anyone visiting his little hell was coming to see the serial killer exhibit.

A
I am currently a Foreign Language major *or trying to be* for Russian and possibly German since I already speak it. Afterward, I hope to eventually pursue a doctorate in linguistics. I am 19 years old and German and Russian by blood, however, I was born and live in America with classically xenophobic, homophobic, uneducated parents. I'm very shy and prefer to be called Ivan. I'd also really appreciate it if you considered me male.
I'm also a notorious Grammar Nazi and policy-whore. The Grammar Nazi is self-explanatory, but the policy-whore probably needs explaining. It means that I love writing and analyzing policies to make sure there are no loop-holes and that everything can run like a well-oiled, efficient machine. This is why on boards where I moderate, I almost always deal with the administrative processes and why boards I moderate have extensive "rules" sections.
Lastly, if you can't tell, Russia is my favorite character for a multitude of reasons and I have developed over the years an obsession/fascination with the Soviet Union. I have a similar case when it comes to Nazi Germany although to a far lesser degree. XD
I already told Alfred the circumstances regarding my rather late start on this app. This version of crazy!Russia was heavily inspired by Hannibal Lector, don't hurt me. I chose to have him represent the Soviet Union instead of the modern Russian Federation due to this version's personality and his views on the FSU (Former Soviet Union). I disagree with the statement that communism is bad for your eyes. In fact it is bad for your democracy. Furthermore, I can hardly believe how old I made him. XD
